U do not have to follow a madhhab. U have to follow the Sunnah. Even the 4 Imams said that. If U study the Sunnah, U will get verification on all of the issues. Case & point: I use to be with Tablighi Jammat, which follows the Hanifi madhhab. We were taught, according to this madhhab, to wipe the back of your neck when making wudoo. But upon further studying, there are no hadiths, not even the books that they used, that said to wipe the back of your neck! So U see, you have to research the authentic Sunnah of the Prophet (Salallahu Alayhe wa Sallam) which is the one true madhhab.
