I don't want to take this thread off topic, but can I ask what exactly 'shirk' means.
I found this in wikipedia:
"When the Qur'an describes shirk it frequently seems to be referring to and disparaging the Christian belief in the divinity of Jesus (4:171)."
Is that what is meant in this thread?
