muslim permissability of using anything that lets the blood flow
Rafi3 bin khadeej radhiya Allahu anhu narrated that he said o messenger of Allah verily tommorow we meet the enemy and we do not have any knives, the prophet said be sure you prepare that which will make the blood flow and say bismillaah..
muslim Not using the tooth or the nail to slaughter
In the same hadeeth the rpophet alayhi salaatu wassalaam said:
"and not the tooth or nail, as for the tooth because it is a bone, an as for the nail because its the knife of the abyssinians"

Umm Sulaim, you forgot one thing thats really important about slaughtering animal Ya'ni saying "bismillah". And hadith said:" From Ali bin Abu Thalib radhiallahu anhu, he said:"Rasulullah shalallahu alaihi wasallam told me four kalimah: Allah will curse someone who slaughter animal to something beside Allah, Allah will curse someone who curse their own parents, Allah will curse someone who give protection to ahlul bid'ah, and Allah will curse someone who change the line of the land". (Muslim)
