As salaamu alaykum,

Okay Question was about Ar-Rahn/Pawning...

Ar-Rahn Comes from the Ayaah : Bi'ma3naa Al-ihtibaas, kamaa fee qawluhuu ta3aalaa Kullu nafsin bimaa kasabat Raheenah..
wa ma3naahu : Ath-Thubuut Walluzuum.. yuqaal maal raahin , ay: thaabit. ni3mah raahinah ay: thaabitah

I only have one hadeeth on this mawduu3 and that is hadeeth aysha radiyallaahu 3anhaa anna An-Nabiy sallaahu 3alayhi wasallam Ishtaraa min Yahuudee Ta3aaman Wa rahanhu dir3an min hadeed... mutaffaqun 3alayhi..

Narrated Aisha radiyallaahu 3anhaa that the Prophet sallaahu 3alayhi wasallam bought some food from a Jew and he held in pledge (pawned) a piece of metal..steel

Note: Hadhal hadeeth yudull 3alaa ibaahat al-ishtiraa min al-Yahuud...

Note: This hadeeth shows us that buying/selling/doing bussiness with/ from The Yahuud is Permissible..
