thanks for the link. i guess they are usually invisible, even tho they do have form. and in this case
"As an infant, the Prophet was visited by "two men clothed in white, carrying a gold basin full of snow."
they were obviously visible, and had gender - tho this may be taking it too literally.
actually what you wrote above explains it better - they have the ability to transform into any shape (which would include gender) but their actualy form is unknowable.
