Asalamu Alaykum,

I'd like to learn the 99 names of Allah swt and guess what, you're all going to help me accomplish this goal (erm, inshaAllah?

).

See, I know I don't have the will to learn them all in one go, so I've had an idea, the success of which will be determined by you, the members of this Islamic forum. [Just don't let me down

]

The idea is as follows: I post one name of Allah swt in Arabic, along with its meaning in English, like every three days in this thread, and all members who wish to learn alongside, can do so by adding the same to their sigs.

That way inshaAllah, depending on the number of participants, everywhere I look on the forum, with each new post that's made, I'd see one of Allah swt's beautiful names staring me in the face. What I'm hoping is, if I see a name often enough, it'd be cause for me to retain it in my memory. After three days, we all add the next name of Allah swt and inshaAllah after several months, we would have learnt all the names along with their meanings.

Even if you already, mashaAllah, know them all, I'd still urge you to participate in the effort as it would be of great help to others, inshaAllah.

Think of the barakah that will flow through the community of LI by having many of the members reciting the beautiful and powerful names of Allah swt on a daily basis!
