Mariam
I just wanted to say that I spend a lot of my time on this forum in the world affairs section. I frequently find people that make a lot of excuses (ie occupation, western influence, etc) and I just wanted to say that it really puts a smile on my face and gives me a renewed good feeling toward Islam when I read something like this. Rather than putting all of the blame on everyone else it seems as though the author is realizing that much of the problem (though not all) lies within Islam itself.
Coexistence is the key word to all of these, no religion (to me at least) is right or wrong in my opinion, it is those that live their life righteously and follow God's will that are truly in touch with "religion". Anyways, I just wanted to thank you so much for your post it truly helped me to remember that the actions, voice or comments of a few definitely do not represent everyone and unless they are positive and truthful should be taken with a grain of salt. God bless you and everyone that thinks and believes what this post says, it reflects well on Islam and you for posting it.
