i think the article is directed to muslims only, however a muslim should have a good character to everyone. the prophet (peace be upon him) is our example and there r many times he was good towards the non-muslims because he (saw) was good to those who were good to him. infact a lot of people become muslim during the time of the prophet because of the outstanding character of the prophet (saw) and the sahaba (r.a)
