It is illegal in the UK for anyone to rob your house, steal you car or take your wallet.
Why dont you sleep with your doors unlocked and wide open then? Why dont you leave your car unlocked? Why dont you just leave your wallet lying around?
By your logic that is what we should all be doing.
Islam DOES teach respect for women, but that doesnt mean that every male is a Muslim (and therefore wont follow Islamic teachings) and not all Muslims follow the Islamic legislation!
