Ibn al Qayyim also explains that if we use something for the sake of Allah, He will strengthen that for us (and the exact opposite is that if we use something for evil, it will cause harm to us) - for example if you use your wealth for Allah's sake, He will give you more in return, if you use your body for Allah's sake - He will make your body stronger, if you use your honor for Allah's sake - then He will give you more honor. It might take a little time to see the positive affects of these things, but you will see them insha Allah. If you still don't, then know that there's something even greater for you in the hereafter
