      saying bismillah in salat ?

      Assalamu 3alaycom wr wb !
Hope you're all in good health aftre the upgrade storm

Ok, if this topic is already existing in another thread, so please someone link this thread to it or just delete this thread and give me the other link.

That's something which made me confused : When I open the 'mushaf' and read Surat al-Fatiha, I find the the word/ayah "bismillah-ir-ra7hmen-ir-rahim" (In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.) is numbered as Ayah N°1. So we should always read it, otherwise the Fatiha will not be complete. And if, in the salat, the fatiha is not complete (completely read), then the salat will be invalid.

But after praying behind a big number of Imams, I realised that they do not pronounce the first ayah (bismillah...) and start reciting from "Al-hamdulilli rabi-l-aalamin...etc", So I'm confused :

      1) did they not read it at all ? and in this case, is their salat correct ?

      2) did they read it in a low voice so i can't hear it ? and also is this correct ? For example in Isha Prayer, you have to read qur'an aloud (every ayah in fatiha should be read aloud), so will salat in this case be considered incomplete ?

Please if someone has a clear response from scholars or ahadeeth, it'll be very helpful.

There is a difference of opinion among the fuqaha on whether Bismillah is a part of Surah Al-Fatihah or not. According to Imam Shaf'i (RH), it is part of Surah Al-Fatihah, therefore he recited it aloud in Salah. But according to Imam Abu Hanifah (RH) and other fuqaha, it is not part of Surah Fatihah. Nevertheless, Bismillah is still recited before Surah Al-Fatihah, but softly.

"Whoever wants to follow a path, let him follow the path of one who has died, for the living are not safe from fitnah. I mean the Companions of Muhammad . They were the best of this ummah: the purest in heart, the deepest in knowledge and the most straightforward. Allah chose them to accompany His Prophet and establish His religion, so recognise their status and follow in their footsteps and adhere as much as you can to their example of conduct and attitude, for they followed true guidance."
