Post Al-Haleem (The Forbearing) - 11-16-2005

All Praise is due to Allaah, Lord of the Worlds. And may the Peace and Blessings be upon Prophet Muhammad, his household, his Companions and all those who follow them in goodness until the Last Day.

To proceed:

An Explanation to the Beautiful and Perfect Names of Allaah
By Shaykh Aboo 'Abdur Rahmaan Naasir as-Sa'adee (rahimullaah)

v Al-HALEEM (The Forbearing)

He One Who bestows favours, both outward and inward, lavishly to His creation despite their many acts of disobedience and transgression. He is gentle upon those who disobey him and in censuring them so that perchance they may repent and gives them respite so that they may become penitent:

“ And know that Allaah Knows what is in your minds, so fear Him. And know that Allaah is Ever-Forgiving, Haleem” [al-Baqaarah, 2:235]

“ If you lend to Allaah a goodly loan He will multiply it for you and will forgive you. Allaah is the Appreciative, Haleem” [at-Taghaabun, 64:17]

Pg. 69

Next time inshaaAllaah: Ash-Shakir (The Recognizer and Rewarder of Good) & Ash-Shakur (The Appreciative)

The Day they see it, (it will be) as if they had not tarried (in this world) except an afternoon or a morning. (An-Nazi'at 79:46)

"By time, mankind is in loss, except for those who truly believe and worship Allaah alone, and do righteous deeds, performing that which is obligatory upon them and avoiding that which they are forbidden, and enjoin one another with patient perserverance upon obedience to Allaah and in facing harm and trials." [Soorah al-- 'Asr (103)]
