Default Ezra son of God - Error

The Quran itself claims that it is perfect (Sura 85:21-22). Therefore, if even one error is found in the text, the Quran is proven to be false. Can someone please explain this Sura to me?

In Surah at-Taubah, 9:30, it states:

And the Jews say, "Ezra is the Son of God;"
and the Christians say, "The Messiah is the Son of God."

Christians do believe that Jesus is the Son of God, however Jews do not believe that Ezra is the Son of God. And please note that it does not say "a" Son of God, but the grammtical constructions reads the Son of God, definite article.

    Waqalati alyahoodu AAuzayrun ibnu Allahi

Furthermore, it cannot be said that there were "some" Jews at one point in time in History that believed that Ezra was the Son of God since there is a definite article before the titles "Jews" and "Christians", thus it refers to the Christians and Jews in GENERAL. Any orthodox Jew or Rabbi will tell you that this statement is FALSE. This is clearly an error in the Quran and the Quran claims to be the perfect word of God, someone care to explain?

Yes Uzayr was considered by Jews as the son of God.
And that is no error coz at that time it was true,
And the Jews say, "Ezra is the Son of God;"
At that time Jews did say it!

Please re-read what I posted. It does not state that the Jews at "ONE POINT" believed that Ezra was the Son of God, but Jews in General:

Take a look at the context, if that Sura says that Jews at "ONE POINT" believed that Ezra was the Son of God, then Christians at "ONE POINT" believed that Jesus was the Son of God. That is not what it says, there is a "DEFINITE ARTICLE" (THE JEWS), not (SOME OR A JEW/S), thus it refers to the Jews in General just as it refers to the Christians in general in that Sura.

    Hello,

I'd like to know why are you asking the question if you are setting definite limits to yourself and claiming that something 'cannot be said'? You are simply asking ignorant questions then to try to claim that the Quran has an error. You are approaching the Quran with a set agenda. You arent going to be able to learn anything and much less agree if you ask and then say what the answer has to be or for that matter, what the answer cannot be.

Clearly your not familiar with the Quran.

If you carry on reading the following verse, it will say

"They have taken their doctors of law and their monks for lords besides Allah, and (also) the Messiah son of Marium and they were enjoined that they should serve one God only, there is no god but He; far from His glory be what they set up (with Him)." [Surah Tawbah Ayah 31]

Now any person with knowledge will understand that christians and jews dont really say our monks are our gods besides Allah, and if you look into the Hadeeths of the Prophet you will see that even the companions said this, and the Prophet replied, didnt they make things that were Halal Haram? and viceversa, and this is what is meant by their worship of the monks and rabis and how they took them as lords besides Allah.

As for your definte title question, I see that you have not read the Quran at all.

A quick example to show you what I mean is,

"Those to whom the people said: Surely men have gathered against you, therefore fear them, but this increased their faith, and they said: Allah is sufficient for us and most excellent is the Protector." [Surah Ale Imran Ayah 173]

Now if you understand arabic and the Quran you will straight away see that the word used here is 'An Naas' meaning "Mankind" but this is not what the verse refers to because it was only a group of man that said this statement, but because of the severity of their saying Allah said "Mankind"

Yes I read your post, the best a answer you have is where is my proof? I don't have to be a scholar to know that the Jews in General do not believe that God has a literal Son, if you have just a little knowledge of Jewish orthodox then you will know that they do not believe that Ezra is the Son of God. It only takes a imple study on Judaism to know factually that this is not a tenet of the Jews.
