Default Sahada help - 07-15-2007

Here's a question or two.

Over two days or so, I was thinking about and learning about Islam, and I was very zealous, and was finding what I thought to be a lot of truth present. So, not truly realizing the importance of it, I said the Sahada. Since that point I've been faced with some major questions, and I am afraid to learn and recite prayers based upon conflicts I uncovered with Jewish-related beliefs - such as the fact that I haven't found the tetragrammaton (the Creator's name) in the Quran. Am I at fault for not reciting the prayers? How grave is the fault? I feel like I'm on the fence, and I don't like it.

Hey.

Sorry for the late response, i think the server of the forum is messing up abit.

I think the word which you may be referring to is 'Rabb' which means LORD. I don't know if it has an equivalent in hebrew, but Rabb means Lord, Sustainer, Cherisher etc. And usually when reciting prayers, we call out to Allaah by that name.

I'll also give you a link which mentions the 99 names of Allaah which He has revealed to His final servant and Messenger, Muhammad (peace be upon him.)

If you never understood what i said, or need more info - please do ask.

Peace.
