Advances in primary?

everyone..

I wanted to ask you guys if you have any idea of the recent changes/advances in primary education? I've got an interview in a uni and they want me to write a 400 word essay on it.. i think that's gonna be the topic anyway...

I've tried searching the net..but I just can't find anything and i've had

Any ideas would be appreciated.. it's needed quite urgently.

There has been a noticeable increase in homework in the past 10 or so years. I know this because I had like 1 piece of homework a week when I was in primary; one of my younger siblings now has 5 a week.

That's 500% increase in homework! See, look there's a statistic to help you out.
