    Exclamation Important Questions Please Help Answer

    Hello, I have some very important questions I would very much appreciate if you could answer them, I understand that not everyone or perhaps anyone here is a qualified cleric but please if you know the answer provide as much detail as you can.

    1. Where is the method for performing Salat listed? Is it listed in the Quran, In the Hadith or is it an unwritten tradition that has been handed down by previous generations. For instance how do Muslims know how many times to kneel and bow and what to recite and when to recite it, Where is the instructions for the salat methodology listed?

    2. Given that Islam believes that Muhammad (PBUH) was the "Seal of the Prophets" what would be the fate of those that lived before the birth of Muhammad (PBUH), For instance those that lived before Muhammad PBUH would have had not idea on the Shahadah since they did not know that Muhammad PBUH was the seal of the prophets nor was the Quran revealed to them, Since these people did not know the Shahadah, where unable to recite the Quran, what would be the fate of these people. I understand that Muslims believe that Muhammad PBUH was the last in a series of prophets.

    3. If Allah wanted to reveal the Quran to Muhammad PBUH why then was the Quran dictated to Muhammad PBUH, Via the Angel Gabriel? Why did Allah not simply reveal the Quran directly to Muhammad PBUH?

    4. Why was the Qibla (Direction of Prayer) changed from Jerusalem to Mecca? There is almost no information regarding this matter.

    Allah sent Prophets to all nations . Whenever any Prophet pbuh came , it was mendatory for the nation to accept him as a Prophet . So , those who followed the previous Prophets pbut will be saved by the grace of Allah.

    It's not a characteristics of a believer to challenge Allah like this . Why Allah did this and that , it's up to Him . We must listen and obey .

    there is a verse in Quran that says Prophet pbuh wanted to change the Qibla and Allah knows what is in dear slave's heart . So , He fulfilled his wishes and Allah does what He wants .

    Verily! We have seen the turning of your (Muhammads SAW) face towards the heaven. Surely, We shall turn you to a qiblah (prayer direction) that shall please you, so turn your face in the direction of Al-Masjid- al-Haram (at Makkah).

    And wheresoever you people are, turn your faces (in prayer) in that direction. Certainly, the people who were given the Scriptures (i.e. Jews and the Christians) know well that, that (your turning towards the direction of the Kabah at Makkah in prayers) is the truth from their Lord. And Allah is not unaware of what they do.

    First of all, I would like to thank you for replying and giving an answer to these important questions!

    in authentic hadith . In Quran , Allah ordered us follow the Prophet pbuh. He showed and taught people how to do it .

    Can you please tell me which Hadith and which Book? Also the Quran only mentions how to perform Wadu (Abulution) not how to perform salat from what I know. I really need to know what is the name of the Hadith book that lists the way in which Salat is required to be performed.

    Allah sent Prophets to all nations . Whenever any Prophet pbuh came , it was mendatory for the nation to accept him as a Prophet . So , those who followed the previous Prophets pbut will be saved by the grace of Allah.

    Does this mean that those today who are still following the message of the old prophets PBUH ie for example Abraham or Moses or Jesus etc would still be saved because they are following the message of the previous prophets that were sent to all nations?

    u can't reject one Prophet pbuh and accept another by ur own will . Rejecting any Prophet pbuh means u are disobeying Allah . When a new messenger came , it was mendatory for the people to accept him . So , by rejecting the last Prophet pbuh , how one can expect to be saved ? And Allah knows Best.

    Asalaamu Alaikum,

    1. Prayers are mentioned in the Qur'an, but you need the authentic hadiths to explain to you how to pray.

    2. Qur'an answers this here;

    And for every Ummah (a community or a nation), there is a Messenger; when their Messenger comes, the matter will be judged between them with justice, and they will not be wronged. [Qur'ân 10:47]

    3. Qur'an answers again;

    And it is not for any human being that Allah should speak to him except by revelation or from behind a partition or that He sends a messenger (Angel) to reveal, by His permission, what He wills. Indeed, He is Most High and Wise. [Qur'an 42:51]

    4. And again;

    Thus We have made you [true Muslims - real believers of Islamic Monotheism, true followers of Prophet Muhammad SAW and his Sunnah (legal ways)], a Wasat (just) (and the best) nation, that you be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) be a witness over you. And We made the Qiblah (prayer direction towards Jerusalem) which you used to face, only to test those who followed the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) from those who would turn on their heels (i.e. disobey the Messenger). Indeed it was great (heavy) except for those whom Allah guided. And Allah would never make your faith (prayers) to be lost (i.e. your prayers offered towards Jerusalem). Truly, Allah is full of kindness, the Most Merciful towards mankind. [Qur'an 2:143]

    Thank you for a first class answer! Its refreshing to see knowledgeable people. With respect to this "Book of Salat" that was mentioned by the other poster, Am I correct in saying that there is not a "Book of Salat" per se but rather this "Book of Salat" consists of hadiths from different sources which are pooled together to inform us of how to perform salat.

    If the instructions on how Salat is performed is in the Hadith, I wonder how Quran only Muslims manage to fulfill the Salat requirement.

    I would like to know if in Islam, Allah SWT punishes evil men and woman parents by making their children have birth defects and disability? Is there a hadith or something that Allah SWT will punish parents via their children for their sins?

    Would this explain why so many Pakistani Muslims have birth defects, mental retardation, diabetes, TB, and other such diseases? I mention Pakistani muslims because there seem to be alot of Pakistani muslims here.
