Great poem! Really gets you thinking. But with school/uni work sometimes - there really is no choice. "Good enough" and just hand in the assignment. Time is of the essence.

But in Islamic matters - its a different story entirely I guess.

Perhaps we should try and even do our best in those matters as well.
When we are conditioned to give only our best...... just imagine.

Yes, giving our best all the time - I have done that for most of my life. These last few years I gave up - because my body was almost in 'shut down' mode. I couldnt handle the pressure. I felt like a robot. I was really ill a few times. That was scary for my parents. I gave a 1000% effort to everything I did academically - it paid off, but not health wise.

Now I just give 100% and hope for the best. Dont try too hard - academically - it can kill ya.

We should at all times attempt to balance our lives.
Spending 1000% of our energy and effort on one sphere of our lives can only be detrimental and have negative results.

I trust that you are doing better now.
Always remember that Islam is moderate; not exstreme to either side.
