About driving ..well it's a pretty hard question..I know whenever my uncle useed to start his car he used to say this supplication... I can't remember what it was and also there's a hadeeth that the Prophet sallaalaahu 3alayhi wassallam was on a camel with a few of his wives and he was being driven by a habashiy man.. so the sahaabiy was singing to the camels to make them go faster (cause it is known that when you sing to the camels their pace quickens..) so the prophet sallaalaahu 3alayhi wassallam said to him: YA Anjasha! Rawaydan sawqaka bil qawaareer".. O' Anjasha.. Go Slowly/Gently on the Bottles... The Ulamaah have said (about his reference to his wives as "Bottles") That it is either out of two things... 1) when he said that he meant that they might become maftuun by his voice, so he should stop and this would cause the pace of the caamels to go slow. 2) His refernce to them as bottles was because women are Da3eef/Weak so if the pace quickens it might have an affect on them/do them harm... And Allah knows best!!

__________________ok like promised heres a litle bout shi3ir: Wisdom in poetry Ubayy bin ka3ab radhiya Allahu anhu said that the prophet alayhi salaatu wassalaam said "verily from poetry is wisdom" bukhari Asking someone to recite verses 3an shareed radhiya Allahu anhu that the prophet alayhi salaatu wassalaam asked him to recite verses of poetry from the poems of Umayyah bin Salt, the rpophet would tell me "heeh heeh" more more, till i recited 100 verses, then he said "if only he would have embraced islam" saheeh defamatory poems 3an 3aisha radhiya Allahu anhaa that Hassaan bin Thaabit sought permision from the prophet to defame the mushrikeen in poetry, so the rpophet replied "and in regards to me?" Hassaan said "verily i will take you out like the hair is pulled out of dough" (because he alayhi salaatu wassalaam was from the same tribe as those mushrikeen) bukhari and muslim Cons of poetry Abee hurayrah radhiya Allahu anhu narrated that the rpophet alayhi salaatu wassalaam said "for a mans belly to be filled with puss till it makes him sick is better than it being filled with poetry" bukhari and muslim Those who say that which they don't do "wa annahum yaquuluna ma laa yaf3aluun" and that they say that which they do not do... With the exception of... "illa ladheena aamanu wa 3amilu salaahati wa dhakaru Allaha katheeran..." except for those who beleive in Allah and do good deeds and remember Allah a lot... (ashu3araa) Thats one of the reasons as well why we couldn't call the prophet a shaa3ir, cos of this negative siffah... thats all wassalaam

Well there are 3 Shuroot of Tawbah right : 1. An-Nadm, Which is remorse 2. At-Tark, Which is to leave off that sin straight away 3. 3adam ar-Rujoo3, Which is to not return back to that sin And if that sin had harmed someone, i.e. harmed that persons wealth or honor etc. Then there is a 4th Shart. 4. Talab al-Maghfirah , Which is to ask forgiveness of the person he wronged. This is all he has to do right........You're not looking for hadeeths which say the time Tawbah ends and all of that right? So now to Bro Dhuls Question Quote:
Princess already mentioned a hadeeth and this is what Bro Dhul said : Quote:
And I was thinking to myself, the hadeeth of when Rasulullah peace be upon him was on his camel, and he came across Asmaa' Radhiyallahu 3anha, so he made his camel stop and offered to give her a ride........ Can we take from this hadeeth that it's Good to offer someone you know a ride?
