I think the question by Dhul was " The sunnah in treatment of wounds" Right Dhul?

سألوا ‏ ‏سهل بن سعد الساعدي ‏ ‏رضي الله عنه ‏
بأي شيء دووي جرح النبي ‏ ‏صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ ‏فقال ما بقي من الناس أحد أعلم به مني كان ‏ ‏علي ‏ ‏يجيء بالماء في ‏ ‏ترسه ‏ ‏وكانت ‏ ‏يعني ‏ ‏فاطمة ‏ ‏تغسل الدم عن وجهه وأخذ حصير فأحرق ثم حشي به جرح رسول الله ‏ ‏صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏

Some People asked Sahl bin Sa3d as-Saa3idi May Allah be pleased with him "With what did Rasulullah used to treat his wounds?" So Sahl replied " There does not remain anyone who is more knowledgeable of this than me. Ali used to bring water in his Shield and Faatimah would wash the blood from his face. Then he (Ali) would take a piece of mat/cloth and burn it then dress Rasulullahs wound with it"(Bukhari and Muslim)

Another version of the hadeeth :



قال : كانت فاطمة بنت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : تغسله وعلي يسكب الماء بالمجن , فلما رأت فاطمة أن الماء لا يزيد الدم إلا كثرة أخذت قطعة من حصير فأحرقتها فألصقتها فاستمسك الدم , وكسرت رباعيته يومئذ وجرح وجهه وكسرت البيضة على رأسه


He (Sahl) said " Faatimah Binti Rasulullah used to wash his (wound) and Ali would pour the water from the vessel. When Faatimah saw that the water only made the blood increase, she took a piece of a mat and burned it and placed it (the ashes) on the wound, and so the blood ceased to flow. It was on this day that His (Rasulullahs) Rubaa3iyyah broke, and his face was wounded and the Helmet broke on His head.

Oh i think i know the hadeeth you're referring to dhul, but i can't remember all of it, it's something like bismillahi turbat ardhinaa..isfi saqeemana....help guys

As for maw's question sunnah on carrying weapons,

There's hadeeth Jabir radhiya Allahu anhu that the prophet alayhi salaatu wassalam said it's not lawful for anyone to carry a weapon in mecca.

Hadeeth abee sa'eed al khudri for the that the a muslims shouldn't point his weapon at his brother.

Hadeeth Ibn Umar radhiya Allahu anhu that the prophet alayhi salaatu wassalam said , whoever carries a weapon against us isn't from us (a fellow muslim)
