I heard that it was Prophet Dawud but my Sheikh told me that it was from the Stories of the People of the Books and the Prophet didn't mention this so we shouldn't believe it nor disbelieve it.

ur correct it's Prophet Dawud

Remember when Allah showed Prophet Adam all of his progeny and Prophet Adam would cry when he looked at his left and he laughed when he looked to his right. And he saw someone interesting and he asked Allah. And Allah replied, "He is Dawud one of ur sons and he will become a Prophet of Allah." And Adam asked how long Prophet Dawud will live and Allah said for 60 years and Prophet Adam gave him 40 years from his life. ya'll remember the story now
