Friendship*~

Your true friends and protectors are Allah and His Messenger, and those who believe: (those) who establish regular prayer and pay the poor-due, and bow down (humbly in prayer). (Al Qur’an 5:55)

The Prophet(PBU) said: ‘A person tends to follow the faith (and lifestyle) of his friends, so be careful who you make friends with’. (Ahmad)

The Prophet(PBU) said: ‘ A good friend and a bad friend are like a perfume-seller and a blacksmith: The perfume-seller might give you a perfume as a gift, r you might buy some from him, or at least you might smell its fragrance, As for the blacksmith, he might singe you clothes, and at the very least you will breathe the fumes of the furnace. ‘ (Bukhari, Muslim)

The Prophet (PBU) said: ‘ Each of you is the mirror of his brother, so if he sees any blemish in him, he should wipe it away from him’. (Tirmidhi)

The Prophet(PBU) said: ‘ If a person loves his brother, he should tell him so. ‘ ( Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi )

Assalamu 'alaikum

Jazakallah khair for sharing that.

"Friends on that Day will be enemies one to another, except al-Muttaqoon (i.e. those who have Taqwah)." [43:67]

These are the questions we have to ask ourselves, lest we wake up after we die. O you who believe! Take care of your own selves. If you follow the right guidance and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong no hurt can come to you from those who are in error. The return of you all is to Allah, then He will inform you about (all) that which you used to do." [5:105]

May Allah make us of the righteous ones and give us companions that will take us away from His Wrath and lead us to His Pleasure and Paradise.

Jazak Allah, it's so true! Your friends really do affect you- May Allah always keep us with good friends who help us on the path of the righetous!

And keep thy soul content with those who call on their Lord morning and evening, seeking His Face; and let not thine eyes pass beyond them, seeking the pomp and glitter of this Life; no obey any whose heart We have permitted to neglect the remembrance of Us, one who follows his own desires, whose case has gone beyond all bounds.
(18: 28)
