'Abdullaah Ibn Mas'ood said:

"Verily, you are in a time in which the Scholars are many and the speakers are few. And verily there will come a time after you in which the speakers will be many and the Scholars will be few."

an-Nasaa'ee in Kitaab-ul-'Ilm (no. 109), at-Tabaranee in al-Kabeer (no. 8066), al-Bukhaaree in Adabul-Mufrad (no. 789) and Ibn Hajr in Fathul-Baaree (10/510) - declared authentic by al-Albaanee

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,

"No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allaah expiates some of his sins for that."

Recorded by Al-Bukhari in Kitaab Al-Marad (Book on Disease), no.5641, 5642; also recorded by Muslim in Kitaab Al-Birr Was-Silah (Book on Righteousness and Keeping Good Relations with Others), no. 52/2573

It is narrated in a saheeh report that our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“Whoever gives up a thing for the sake of Allaah, Allaah will compensate him with something better than it.”

Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Hijaab al-Mar’ah al-Muslimah, p. 49.
