Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahee wa Barakatu

Remember, that all the pain, suffering, impurities and mishaps we face on this earth is to remind us that this is not our home. You might think why life is so painful and difficult sometimes. We go travelling in the desert and the sun is burning and it is hot. We move to Norway and we suffer because of coldness and people feel depressed because overthere there is constant night time. We go walking into the jungle and we do not enjoy the stay because we are scared of the insects and snakes and the humidity is tough. There is always something that is painful or impure. We cannot sleep in the wilderness peaceful because we know that wild animals could attack us. Life on earth seems to be painful and all the impurities are sometimes very disgusting. Why do we have to relief ourselves. This is so impure and we dislike that. Everything we do is a combination of impurity, pain and pleasure. Shayateen bug us regularily. Our hearts are impure full of jealousy and enmity. Why do we have to live with all these impurities that exist on earth, even in nature. Milk gets spoilt when you leave it for days our side. If you eat too much then you feel sick. All the deseases and psychological pain. Why do we experience famine, natural calamities, wars, illness, mishaps and other things.

What is the reason for all these things?

Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, makes this life painful so that we do not love this world too much. We should not have his world in our hearts but just in our hands only. We should not ignore the disgusting things that we find on earth. We the human race are under the perception that we belong here and that this is our residence and home. However, we forget the fact that we are not here for good but for a temporal time. This life is not supposed to be fun but full of work and establishing akhira. Every impurity and pain we experience should make us homesick. Unfortunately, we ignore the pain and the impure things and get to much attached to it and love it, although it is meant to be disgusting because we should not love this world. Allah tells us through these things that we are not people of earth but people of Jannah. Yes, there are some beauty in this world. This world is not bad enough that it could be called hell nor is it good enough that it could be called Paradise.

Through these things but also all the prohibitions and restrictions set by Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala and all the fitan caused by temptations and waswasa are reminders for us that we do not belong here. We are living in exile. We are not home. We need to learn to be homesick.

Homesickness is something we lack and something we have to develop in our hearts and minds. Jannah is our home, but if we do not realize that Jannah is our home then we cannot develop homesickness for Jannah. All the pain we see and experience has only one purpose, and that is to detach ourselves from dunia and to attach ourselves to Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala and to our home which is neither dunia nor hellfire but Jannah.

Let's use all the impurities and pain and hardships be a reminder for us that this life is pain but the life in Jannah is pure pleasure. Let us strive for the mercy of Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, to come back home to our family (Adam, Hawwa, and Muhammad, sallallahu aleihi wassallam, and everyone in Jannah) and to our treasures and property and enjoy our life home.

In Jannah everything is pure. The soil is pure. The hearts of people are purified from jealousy etc. Whatever we eat is pure and does not make you full, sick if you eat too much. You do not relief yourselves after eating. You do not eat for nutrients and nutrition but for pure pleasure. Your body is strong enough to survive all the pleasure in Jannah, you home. At home we will have pleasure with our spouses without all the impurities that exist here. At home we are on vacation from all prohibitions and obligations that exist in this life. The time of salah, zakah, fasting and hajj is over. The only form of worship is Tasbeeh that is performed naturally and effortless. In Jannah there is constant daylight and there is not sleep nor fatigue. You will not get a chance to get bored because the pleasure and tranquility and peace increases and only gets better for eternity. Everyday the pleasure is more excellent. At home we can to whatever please us. Because our hearts are pure we do not ask for things that is impure.

Jannah is our home and we need to develop homesickness. Let us long for Jannah and the pleasure of Allah and the mercy of the Lord of Mankind, subhanahu wa ta'ala.

Everytime we have to go to the restroom or we are faced with something disgusting or we experience suffering, famine or we see how people suffer starvation and oppression the we should increase our homesickness. We should realize that we are not home but Jannah is our homeland and we will be there forever, insha'allah.

Suffering = Expiation of Sins
It is better to suffer in dunia than in Akhira.
Suffering in Akhira is more severe.
