Post On Entering Madinah... - 06-10-2006

ON ENTERING MADINAH

En route to Madina recite as much Durood as possible continuously on Rasulullah (saw), eagerness should be in one’s heart to reach Madina and present one’s self in the Masjid E Nabawi.

On the outskirts of Madina the following dua should be recited:

‘O Allah! This is Your Prophet’s Sanctuary make it a protection for me from the Fire and a safety from punishment and an evil reckoning’

After settling down, take a bath or make wudu, use miswaak, change into clean clothes, use some itr and leave for the Masjid-Un-Nabawi in one’s best condition.
Recite Durood and Salam excessively and if possible Sadqa should be given to the poor.

Entry should be made from Baab-E-Jibraeel (one of the gates to enter the mosque) with the right foot, reciting:

‘O Allah, open for us the doors of Your mercies, and make easy for us the means of livelihood’

Proceed to Rowdah-Tul-Jannat perform 2 rakats Taheeyatul Masjid.
Now proceed to Rowdah Mubarak and present yourself before Rasulullah (saw). Stand facing the Qabr Sharief with your back towards the Qibla. With utmost humility and humbleness stand at a slight distance from the Rowdah keeping your gaze down and with awareness that rasulullah (saw) is alive and looking at you. Recite duas here.

If anyone has requested you personally to convey Salams on their behalf, do so in the following manner:
‘Peace be upon you O Messenger of Allah from (name) He is requesting you to plead to your Lord on his behalf’

And if several people have requested you to convey their Salams recite this dua:

‘Salam upon you, O Rasulullah, from all those who had requested me to convey Salams to you’

Now move towards the Qabr of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (R.A.) and recite the following Salam:

‘Salam be upon you, O Caliph of Rasulullah, his companion in the cave; his co-traveller in his journeys, and the trustee of his secrets, Abu-Bakr Saddique. May Allah grant you great reward on behalf of Muhammad’s Ummah?’

Now move towards the Qabr of Hazrat Umar Farouk (R.A.) and recite the following Salam:

‘Salam be upon you, O Ameer of the Mu’mineen, Umar Al-Farouk, through whom Allah dignified Islam; leader of the Muslims, with whom Allah was pleased when alive, as well as after death. Allah fully rewards you on behalf to the Ummah of Muhammad (saw).’

Recite the combined Salams to Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (R.A.) and Hazrat Umar Farouk (R.A.):

‘Peace be upon you O Two Resters (beside) Rasulullah, his Two Companions and Ministers. May Allah reward the two of you an excellent reward.’

Then make dua for yourself, your parents, your family, relatives, neighbours, friends, well wishes, Ustaads and all Muslims in general.

Prior to your departure if time prevails perform your departing salat of 2 rakats near Musallah of Rasulullah (saw). Thereafter proceed to the Rowdah Mubarak for the farewell Salam.

After the Salam make dua in all eagerness and pray to Allah to bring you here over and over again.
