Default Air refreshment - 07-25-2006

What prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used for air refreshment in massgid or his house?

While I could not find a specific hadith mentioning the Prophet (upon him be peace) using something to refresh the air, It is commonly known that the muslim arabs of that time widely used perfumes on themselves. They used musk profusely, and they might have even sprinkled some around the house.

The Arabs of that time also used to burn incense to create various aromas.

Book 16, Number 16.4.12:

Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa that Asma bint Abi Bakr said to her family, "Perfume my clothes with incense when I die and then embalm me. Do not put any of the embalming substance on my shroud, and do not follow me with a burning torch."
