the friday prayer

1-I live in a non-muslim country and I have to work on fridays. the nearest mosque to the building that I work is about 11 km away and therefore it is almost impossible for me to stop working inorder to go to the friday prayers because I lose my job. is the friday prayers obligatory for me?
2-Is it obligatory for a muslim to go to the mosque to say prayers in the crowd or can a muslim just say prayers at home?
