as salamu laikum! i have reverted to islam a week ago today! ALHAMDUILLAH! Well to begin I was raised as a southern Baptist. My entire family on both my father's and mother's side are christian. I began reading the bible from the moment I was able to read. Well I didn't start questioning my faith untill an older Jehovas Witness couple moved next door to us. They would tell us all these things about Jesus, and how he wasn't GOD.... Well thats not what the bible says, I thought. From then on I've always had that stuck in my mind. Fast foward to 2001, the September 11, attacks. I was perplexed as to how some one could be so inclined to commit such an appauling act. I wanted to know more about these culprits and this religion Islam. Well the more I read about Islam the more appealling it became to me. I found my self reading book after book after book. I figured that I would go out and purchase a Qur'an. The first sura struck me like a bolt of lightning! The way the ayats were worded was so eloquent. I was seriously questioning my faith. I didn't convert at the time. I was at a standstill. I continued to live as I had, untill very recently. I was coming to a crucial point in my life where everything was falling apart. Nothing was going right, nothing. I knew that nothing was possible without GOD. I had knowone to turn to or nowhere to go. So I made a conscience decision to make Shahadda. I made Shahadda and gave my life to ALLAHS will. That is the absolutely best decision I have ever made. I finally feel at peace and have no doubts as to my faith. I believe that Islam is the eternal truth from ALLAH. ALHAMDUILLAH! Thats my testimony! SALAM
