__________________basically, tell her that this life is a mixture of bad and good. you'll see the description of wine in the qur'an which doesn't intoxicate, it doesn't make you drunk or out of control, it doesn't give you a hangover - like the alcohol wine/drinks do in this world etc. the afterlife is not a mixture of good or bad, but just pure good reward or pure evil punishment [paradise or hell]. paradise is all that the heart and soul desires, there are no limits, and there is no harm in what the people of paradise get and do. whatever the people of hell experience and taste, they never get any goodness from, ie. even the food they eat does not fulfill their hunger, and has such an evil taste i.e. waste from bodily wounds, boiling hot water etc. Muslims are tested for their patience in this life and sincerety to Allah. We are given a mixture of bad and good to test our sincerety to Him, to give us a slight taste of some good/bad etc. and whatever He forbids us for our own good, and whatever He invites us to do is for a greater good. you can download the detailed hereafter series [al akhirah] by imam anwar al awlaki here inshaAllah; http://hoor-al-ayn.com/anwar-al-awlaki.html |

Firstly, you can't harm in Jannah. Alcohol is prohibited in this life, because it not only causes alot of harm to you, it can potentially lead you to harm others due to it. I think that makes any further questions unneccessary. |

So it would not make the person "drunk", if you get what I'm trying to say. |

Very interesting question Brother. Does anyone know? Will we have to perform Salaat in Jannah? 17:82. We send down in the Quran healing and mercy for the believers. At the same time, it only increases the wickedness of the transgressors. 17:83. When we bless the human being, he becomes preoccupied and heedless. But when adversity strikes him, he turns despondent. | |

__________________But I think you would be automatically thinkin( thanking, praising etc.) of Allah(swt) in Jannah, so i think it wont be obligatory for us like in this world I know I dont have resources but ive heard this in some lectures Soo Allah Knows BEST! ![]() Surely the Creation of the Heavens and the Earth is greater than the Creation of Man; but most people know not [40:57] |
