It is such a big step to wear hijab. I remember when I first wore it. I wasnt living at home, but when my parents came i was scared what they will say. It took me almost a year to wear it in front of them but alhamdulillah now they support me to wear it. I think the fear of doing something is immense but when you actually get around to doing it its not that bad after all. Alhamdulillah the feeling is good and the reward will be big inshallah |

But honestly, in my village back home where I have to be in hijab when I visit my parents in the weekends there live no Muslims at all, no black people. There are only racist and nazist gangs. But they don't scare me, I am not ashamed. I don't go out alone because of them and I probably won't either. Here in the city where I live I don't really know any Muslims, there are Muslims but I haven't gotten to know them. Does this stop me? No. I just love the hijab so much and have waited until I could use it since I used it half days in summer sometimes when I was really far away from my home before my parents knew about my conversion. So don't let anything stop you. But I understand it's harder if you don't like to wear the hijab. |

__________________I started to wear hijab 2 1/2 weeks after I coverted to Islam. There are hardly any muslim in my town and I know 0 of them so the 1st day I wore it out of the house was nerveracking but I was thinking, I don't care what people think. I wore it to college and I told everyone I converted to Islam. I wore it to see parents later on in that week and I told them of my convertion to Islam at the same time. They were not to imprested but now they are alright with it and with me. Stay stong and stick with it. You are wearing it for Allah.
O Allah, I seek help from you. I seek your forgiveness. I seek your guidance. I believe in you. |

SubhaanalLah wal-HamdulilLah. [I am also myself struggling at the moment though not about hijaab but with wearing jilbaab. See I have just one jilbaab and at times Shaitaan tries to affect me. I start to think that it's weird me wearing the same the whole year everyday at school, with same cloth always. So at times I think I should change to tunika etc. Nor is it helping when mother would want me to wear different kinds of clothes. (Also my mind at times debades about praying in front of others at school. Jazakumullahu khairan the other members at the thread for the advices and support they gave me. I do try to pray very strongly nowadays. I seek Allah's help) ] I tend to make du'aa to Allah and ask His help. And without Him I NEVER could have done anything, I am so so weak really. AlhamdulilLah for the Almighty's guidance I know that stuff like hijaab, niqaab, clothes isn't easy at all. That's why I try to at times make du'aa to make it easier for the Ummah, all of us around the world. I was just about to share what happened to me today, but I changed my mind coz' I believe it is between me and Allah. But I can tell you that I realized that if we really put our trust in Allah, , be patient and seek His help sincerily then Insha'lLah He will help us. Today Allah helped me alot, when I thought everything was over, He saved me from the situation my heart hated. Allah is so Merciful, we sin and sin and He provides and provides us My mind was also debading alot before wearing hijaab, but Al-hamdulilLah some truthful lectures by Umar Abdelkafy about the Hereafter/before the Hereafter helped me alot. Actually my problem was that my nafs said that I will do it after I finnish school, i will do it later etc etc. Little by little I realized that I could die any moment and that it was not how I wanted to die. I think we really should appreciate the Truth and Allah's guidance more Sister you are on the right path, dont we wanna be among those whom will be with the Prophet (SAAS) in the Hereafter? May Allah give us and all the Ummah strength and guidance around the world | |
