Perhaps, you sisters out there could please inform us brothers in Islam out there as to how to find a suitable partner. I am 32 and I am still unmarried. I find frustrating on how to find my soulmate, without compromising Islamic etiquette on talking to and approaching women. I have even joined singlemuslim.com in order to find a mate, but it still isn't working.

In fact, this question is not just directed towards the sisters out there, but to the brothers out there on how to find a mate, without doing it un-islamically. Of course, I want to get to know the girl, but with the parents, not alone, because as the hadeeth states: if a man and woman are alone with each other, the third party is always the devil.

Please, give me all your input and knowledge about this most crucial subject, which most westerners take for granted. Generally, for me I would like to marry within my culture or a related culture.

The best choices are your brothers at the masjid, and your family. You wil always want to be certain to keep your needs in your Du'as.

I waited and now am in agony over this. I wish got married much earlier, but I missed great opportunities with a possible life partner. The older one gets, the less likely it is to find somebody to spend the rest of your life with.
I remember online, I tried e-mailing one sister, but I was turned down for marriage prospects, because I was too old. See, this is the problem with many Muslim brothers and sisters who want to fulfill half their religion: age.

You have first to determine your own specifications and then the specifications you want in ur to be spouse. Then, you start searching by asking people around you; relatives, friends, workmates, etc.

If you know some gurl near to your place, you can email her and ask for appointment with her family.

Age is not important...theres still someone out there.

First of all, the fact that you're only restricting yourself to one culture (or that of a similar one) does not help in your search for a wife. Your best bet is going to the masjid, and signing up for a matrimonial. Then, inshaa Allaah you'll find someone with the same interests as you, and you can talk to them with a third party. If you really like her, approach her wali for her hand in marriage, and alls well.

May Allaah bestow you with a pious wife for you inshaa Allaah.

make dua a lot about it... do tahajjud and ask Allah to show the right women to fulfill the half of your religion....
