3355. Allahu Akbar!!

The Messenger of Allah used to end his prayer with the following du’a’:

“O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the punishment of the grave, and from the afflictions of the Anti-Christ, and from the afflictions of life and death.”

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said:

“…and since the claim to lordship of the Anti-Christ is impossible in and of itself, and none of the miracles that he will perform will be sufficient proof of his truthfulness - rather, it will be a test and a trial with which Allah misguides whom He Wills and Guides whom He Wills, such as the test of the Golden Calf with the Children of Israel - it will nevertheless be the greatest trial, and the implications of this trial is not limited to those who are present to witness him personally. Rather, the reality of his trial is the falsehood that is at odds with the Divine Law (Shari’ah), backed up by apparent miracles. So, whoever goes along with that which is in opposition to the Shari’ah because of his amazement at some supposed miracle, then he has been afflicted by this trial, and this is widespread in every era and every place. The trial of the Anti-Christ in particular is the severest of trials, so, if Allah protects His servant from it - whether he witnesses it personally or not - then he will be protected from what is less than it of trials (fitan).”

Shaykh ‘Abd ar-Rahman bin Nasir as-Sa’di said:

“…and the reference to the trial of the Anti-Christ is simply a reference to a type of trial, so the servant should seek refuge from every trial which is similar to his, and they are the trials of falsehood and doubts and “miracles” that that misguide many people, such as the fitnah of disbelief, as well as that of the materialists, who have deluded many people with what they have seen of their powerful technological inventions, wonderous advancements, etc., until they thought them to be upon the Truth. And, in reality, this glimmering materialistic pompousness of theirs is beautified on the outside, while its inner core is nothing but ruin and wreckage. So, to seek refuge from the trial of the Anti-Christ encompasses these types of trials.
So, in reality, everyone is in need of the protection of Allah from the trial of the Masih ad-Dajjal in every time and in every place.”

ALLAAHU AKBAR!

Warning the one who does not fast, and explaining that this is a major sin.

Ibn Khuzaymah (1986) and Ibn Hibbaan (7491) narrated that Abu Umaamah al-Baahili (radiallahu 3anh) said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah (sallallahu 3alaihi wassalam) say: “Whilst I was sleeping, two men came to me and took hold of my upper arm, and brought me to a rugged mountain. They said: ‘Climb up.’ I said: ‘I cannot do it.’ They said: ‘We will make it easy for you.’ So I climbed up until I was at the top of the mountain. There I heard loud voices. I said: ‘What are these voices?’ They said: ‘This is the screaming of the people of Hell.’ Then I was taken and I saw people suspended by their ankles, with the corners of their mouths torn and pouring with blood. I said: ‘Who are these?’ They said: ‘These are the people who broke their fast before it was time to do so.’” Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Mawaarid al-Zam’aan, 1509.

Al-Albaani (may Allaah have mercy on him) commented: I say: This is the punishment of the one who fasted then deliberately broke his fast before the time for iftaar had come. So how about one who does not fast at all? We ask Allaah to keep us safe and sound in this world and in the Hereafter.

382. 'Abdullah reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, stopped in a place and then someone took a bird's eggs and the bird began to beat its wings around the head of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He asked, "Which of you has taken its eggs?" A man said, "Messenger of Allah, I have taken its eggs." The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Return them out off mercy to the bird."

378. Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace,said, "One day a man became very thirsty while walking down the road. He came across a well, went down into it, and drank and then climbed out. In front of him he found a dog panting, eating the dust out of thirst. The man said, 'This dog is as thirsty as I was.' He went back down into the well and filled his show, putting it into his mouth (in order to climb back up) and then gave the dog water. Therefore Allah thanked him and forgave him." They said, "Messenger of Allah, will we have a reward on
account of animals?" He said, "There is a reward on account of every living thing."
