3970 Allahu akbar! It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (radhiallahu 3anh) said: The Messenger of Allah (salla Allahu 3alaihi wasallam) said: “The first group to enter Paradise will look like the moon when it is full; then those who follow them will look like the brightest star in the sky. They will not urinate or defecate, spit or blow their noses. Their combs will be of gold, their sweat will be musk, their incense burners will be of aloes-wood. Their wives will be al-hoor al-‘iyn and they will all look alike, like their father Adam, sixty cubits tall.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 3149; Muslim, 2834 may Allah let us enter al firdaus al a3laa, Allahomma ameeen. |

3975 Allahu akbar! Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen said: “The Angel of Death” is well known by the name ‘Azraa’eel, but this is not correct, rather this was narrated from Jewish sources. So we should not believe in this name, and we should call the one who is appointed over death “the Angel of Death,” as Allaah called him in the verse (interpretation of the meaning): “Say: The angel of death, who is set over you, will take your souls. Abu Hurairah (radiAllahu anhu) narrated that the Prophet (sulAllahu alaihi wa salaam) said:ÂWhosoever follows a path to seek knowledge therein, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise . No people gather together in one of the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it among themselves, except that tranquility descends upon them, mercy covers them, the angels surround them, and Allah makes mention of them amongst those who are in His presence. (Recorded by Imam Muslim) |
