lol, well there are different duas for each occasion i think, some are long n some are short. It gets easier when you learn more. Like the first time i read surat al abyyinah i thought it was long LOL, but now 3 page surahs are a norm for me.

surah yasin seems norm for me, qahaf seems a bit long but its coz i dont read it as much

My dad didn't want me to wear jilbab, but I kept on pestering him until he let me;).
