 Surah : 9 - At-Tawba (112) Those that turn (to Allah. in repentance; that serve Him, and praise Him; that wander in devotion to the cause of Allah,: that bow down and prostrate themselves in prayer; that enjoin good and forbid evil; and observe the limit set by Allah.- (These do rejoice). So proclaim the glad tidings to the Believers. (113) It is not fitting, for the Prophet and those who believe, that they should pray for forgiveness for Pagans, even though they be of kin, after it is clear to them that they are companions of the Fire. (114) And Abraham prayed for his father's forgiveness only because of a promise he had made to him. But when it became clear to him that he was an enemy to Allah, he dissociated himself from him: for Abraham was most tender-hearted, forbearing.  Ibn Arabi said: "The people of heaven ('illiyyûn) are only the people of hearts" |

Surah : 9 - At-Tawba (48) Indeed they had plotted sedition before, and upset matters for thee, until,- the Truth arrived, and the Decree of Allah became manifest much to their disgust. (49) Among them is (many) a man who says: "Grant me exemption and draw me not into trial." Have they not fallen into trial already? and indeed Hell surrounds the Unbelievers (on all sides). (50) If good befalls thee, it grieves them; but if a misfortune befalls thee, they say, "We took indeed our precautions beforehand," and they turn away rejoicing. Ibn Arabi said: "The people of heaven ('illiyyûn) are only the people of hearts" |

  And the angels said, ‘O Mary! God gives you glad tidings; His Word is that [you will bear a son], and his name will be the Messiah, ‘Isa [Jesus] the son of Mary. He will be highly honoured in this worldly life and in the Hereafter. He will be one of those who are close to God. He will speak to people from the time he is in the cradle, until his adulthood, for He will be one of the righteous.’ And Mary responded, ‘My Lord! How can I have a son when no man has touched me?’ But the angel said, It will be. God creates whatever He wills and when He has decreed something He need only say to it, ‘Be’ and it will be. 3:45-47 ( 36 )  .

Surah : 9 - At-Tawba (33) It is He Who hath sent His Messenger with guidance and the Religion of Truth, to proclaim it over all religion, even though the Pagans may detest (it). (34) O ye who believe! there are indeed many among the priests and anchorites, who in Falsehood devour the substance of men and hinder (them) from the way of Allah. And there are those who bury gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah. announce unto them a most grievous penalty- (35) On the Day when heat will be produced out of that (wealth) in the fire of Hell, and with it will be branded their foreheads, their flanks, and their backs, their flanks, and their backs.- "This is the (treasure) which ye buried for yourselves: taste ye, then, the (treasures) ye buried!" Ibn Arabi said: "The people of heaven ('illiyyûn) are only the people of hearts" |

Al Ma’idah – The Table (71) They thought there would be no trial (or punishment); so they became blind and deaf; yet Allah (in mercy) turned to them; yet again many of them became blind and deaf. But Allah sees well all that they do. (72) They do blaspheme who say: "(Allah) is Christ the son of Mary." But said Christ: "O Children of Israel! worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Whoever joins other gods with Allah,- Allah will forbid him the garden, and the Fire will be his abode. There will for the wrong-doers be no one to help. (73) They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One Allah. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them. Ibn Arabi said: "The people of heaven ('illiyyûn) are only the people of hearts" |

Al-Hijr – The Stoneland (9) We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption). (10) We did send apostles before thee amongst the religious sects of old: (11) But never came an apostle to them but they mocked him. Al-Anfal - The Spoils of War (35) Their prayer at the House (of Allah. is nothing but whistling and clapping of hands: (Its only answer can be), "Taste ye the penalty because ye blasphemed." (36) The Unbelievers spend their wealth to hinder (man) from the path of Allah, and so will they continue to spend; but in the end they will have (only) regrets and sighs; at length they will be overcome: and the Unbelievers will be gathered together to Hell;- (37) In order that Allah may separate the impure from the pure, put the impure, one on another, heap them together, and cast them into Hell. They will be the ones to have lost. Ibn Arabi said: "The people of heaven ('illiyyûn) are only the people of hearts" |

As-Sajdah –The Prostration (24) And We appointed, from among them, leaders, giving guidance under Our command, so long as they persevered with patience and continued to have faith in Our Signs. (25) Verily thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Judgment, in the matters wherein they differ (among themselves) (26) Does it not teach them a lesson, how many generations We destroyed before them, in whose dwellings they (now) go to and fro? Verily in that are Signs: Do they not then listen? Ibn Arabi said: "The people of heaven ('illiyyûn) are only the people of hearts" |

And God promised to teach ‘Isa [Jesus] the Book, Wisdom, Torah and Gospel. For He would send him as a Messenger to the Children of Israel, telling them: ‘I have come to you with a sign from your Lord. I can create for you, from clay, the figure of a bird, and when I breathe into it, it will, with God’s permission, turn into a living bird. And I can also cure the blind and the lepers and bring life back to the dead, all with God’s permission. And I can also tell you what foods you have eaten and which foods you have stored in your homes. In all of this, there are surely signs, if you would only believe.’ 3:48-49

[And ‘Isa [Jesus] said to the Children of Israel,] ‘I have come to confirm what was revealed before me in the Torah. And I came to make lawful for you some things that were once unlawful. I brought you a sign from your Lord, that you should fear God and obey me. For God is surely my Lord and your Lord; therefore worship Him alone. This is the Straight Path.’ And when Jesus felt their unbelief, he asked them, ‘Who are my helpers in God’s Way?’ The disciples answered, ‘We are God’s helpers. We believe in God and bear witness that we submit to Him [that we are Muslims].’ 3:50-52 .

13 - Ar-Ra’d –The Thunder (19) Is then one who doth know that that which hath been revealed unto thee from thy Lord is the Truth, like one who is blind? It is those who are endued with understanding that receive admonition;- (20) Those who fulfill the covenant of Allah and fail not in their plighted word; (21) Those who join together those things which Allah hath commanded to be joined, hold their Lord in awe, and fear the terrible reckoning; Ibn Arabi said: "The people of heaven ('illiyyûn) are only the people of hearts" |

We recite to you [the Qur’an] with verses and wise reminders. To God, ‘Isa [Jesus] is surely like Adam, whom He created from dust and to whom He then said, ‘Be’ and he was. This is the Truth from your Lord; therefore, do not be among those who doubt it. 3:58-60

[O Muhammad] Say ‘We believe in God and in what was revealed to us [in the Qur’an]. And we believe in what was revealed to Ibrahim [Abraham], Ismael [Ishmael], Ishaq [Isaac], Ya’qob [Jacob], the Tribes, and in what was given through Musa [Moses], ‘Isa [Jesus] and to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction among them all and we are submissive to Him, in Islam.’ 3:84
