here's the noble quran: http://www.ummah.net/what-is-islam/quran/neindex.htm but if you buy the actual book you'll have all the footnotes too.

thanks. Someone told me that the Tafsir Ibn Kathir is very good...

yes its very good but you'll need a lot of pre-understanding of islam in order to understand some of it-it's scholarly work, but i heard you can get a simplified version of the work too..?

I woudn't trust translations on such websites. Try another one please..there are many more. And Paul, if you are really sincere in learning the truth about Islam, I recommend you avoid learning it through the Internet. There is a lot of fishy stuff out there. Alhamdulillah there are a lot of good websites, but there are some other that are fake that preach wrong stuff about Islam. Always be careful where you get your knowledge from.

I'm very keen to learn more. Could you recommend some of the good websites? The only one I visit regularly is Islamonline.net. It seems pretty good to me.
