Br "cha..jalebi" u dont understand wht im tryin to say..luk here, if the word "INK" is present in the Quran this means Sahabas n Prophet must b knowin wht ink is ..otherwise there wud hav been confusions..so i think
"Quran was complied n written with ink in Prophets life."
i dont doubt Sahabas but u c changes can occur..who knows who made this story n labelled it as "Sahabs work"..
the only thg which is with out any doubt is Quran.

The poster I was replying to, indicated that each of the English translations she saw the Surahs were in different orders.

Quran was revealed to Muhammad (S.A.W) in a order to make people muslims so u will find most of the Makki suras (suras which was revealed in Makkah) having topic of Tauheed , Day of Judgement and about prophet
and in Madani suras (suras which was revealed in Madina) topic jihad and living in an islamic way as in madina the islamic community was established so it was naccessary to give them islamic rules of living

Now the order of suras in the Quran we have right now was done by Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) himself now we are muslims so the first important thing is to live in a better islamic way and if u see the first suras are all about it
most of the Makki suras are small where Madani suras are big explaining rules breifly
That is why the order of suras in Quran is not that in which it was revealed
