Yes it mentions in the Qur'an that Muhammad (pbuh) went on the journey you are referring to, although it was not exactly a horse.

And there are hadeeth on this also.

Glorified (and Exalted) be He (Allâh) [above all that (evil) they associate with Him] Who took His slave (Muhammad ) for a journey by night from Al-Masjid-al-Harâm (at Makkah) to the farthest mosque (in Jerusalem), the neighbourhood whereof We have blessed, in order that We might show him (Muhammad ) of Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, etc.). Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer. [Qur'an, 17:1]

And (remember) when We told you: "Verily! Your Lord has encompassed mankind (i.e. they are in His Grip)." And We made not the vision which we showed you (O Muhammad as an actual eye-witness and not as a dream on the night of Al-Isrâ') but a trial for mankind, and likewise the accursed tree (Zaqqûm, mentioned) in the Qur'ân. We warn and make them afraid but it only increases them in naught save great disbelief, oppression and disobedience to Allâh. [17:60]

17:1: "Praise be to Allah Who has taken His servant by night from the Sacred Mosque (Mecca) to the Farthest Mosque (Jerusalem)."

as far as I know, what you have described is in the hadith, and not detailed in the Qur'an the way you have mentioned.

heres the hadiths about RasoolAllah (sal allah hu aleyhi wasalam) goin on miraj and the levels of heaven, and yup he spoke to the different Prophets (as) on each level ....

the hadiths in sahih bukhari ....

RasoolAllah (sal allah hu aleyhi wasalam) said ...

I was brought al-buraq who is an animal white and long, larger than a donkey but smaller than a mule, who would place its hoof at a distance equal to the range of vision. I mounted it and came to Bait-al Maqdis (Jerusalem). I then tethered it to the ring used by the prophets. I entered the area of the Mosque and prayed two rak'at in it. I then came out and Gabriel brought me a vessel of wine and a vessel of milk. I chose the milk, and Gabriel said, 'You have chosen al-fitra, the natural way'.

He then ascended with me into the lower heavens and requested that they be opened. It was said: 'Who are you?' He responded: 'Gabriel'. It was then said: 'Who is with you?' He responded: 'Muhammad'. It was then said: 'Has revelation been sent to him?' He responded: 'Revelation has been sent to him'. It was then opened for us and there I was with Adam. He welcomed me and prayed for my well-being.

Then we ascended to the second heaven and Gabriel requested that it be opened. It was said: 'Who are you?' He responded: 'Gabriel. It was then said: 'Who is with you?' He responded: 'Muhammad'. It was then said: 'Has revelation been sent to him?' He responded: 'Revelation has been sent to him'. Then I was brought to the sidrat al-muntaha, the Lote Tree of the Furthest Limit, whose leaves were like the ears of an elephant and whose fruits at first appeared insignificant. But when Allah spread His command over them they transformed to the point where no one in creation could describe their beauty. Then Allah revealed what He revealed to me. He then made obligatory for me fifty prayers every night and day.

I began my descent until I reached Moses who asked me: 'What has your Lord made obligatory for your community?' I said to him, 'Fifty prayers.' He then said, 'Return to your Lord and ask Him to reduce them, your community will not be able to bear that. I know the people of Israel from long experience and I have tested them.' I then returned to my Lord and said, 'O Lord, make things lighter for my people'. He then reduced it by five prayers for me. I then returned to Moses and he said to me, 'Your community will not be able to stand that. So return and ask Him to make things lighter.' I kept going between my Lord and Moses until Allah said, 'O Muhammad, there are five prayers every night and day. Each prayer is equal to ten prayers making them equal to fifty prayers. Whoever intends a good deed and does not do it, there will be written for him a single good deed. If he does it then there will be written for him ten good deeds. Whoever intends an evil deed and does not do it then there is nothing written against him. If he does it then there is written for him one evil deed.'

I then descended until I reached Moses and informed him of what had occurred. He then said to me, 'Return to your Lord and ask Him to make things lighter.' The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace then said, 'I have returned to my Lord until I felt ashamed before Him."

Seven layers/levels of heaven or the atmospheric layers (5) above the earth? Those are two different things.

You know, sometimes it is good to just step away and let it go. What's the point in having a meaningless debate with somebody who is out to offend you? You are not likely to convince or impress somebody who has that intention - and what should it matter to you what he thinks of you? Ask yourself if it is worth it?

Perhaps you should let it rest for a bit, think about it for a while, and write a carefully worded reply at a later stage ... that's what I would do.

The word impossible only means you do not have the desire to seek the
faith as to why it is correct. Even scientific measurement is based on faith. You have faith that scientific measurement is the same and exact at all times and under all conditions. Since you can not have the time to successfully try that you assume through faith that is true. Our belief in the miracles of Allah(swt) also use a measurement tool. we call that tool faith. although you will not accept it, it is just as pertinent as any physical measurement. You can't use it because you do not have the ability to use the tools. I can not use a mass spectrometer to prove that helium exists on the sun, because I would have no idea as to what I was doing.

Miracles of the Prophet Muhammad such as the one in question are not required to be supported by scientific evidence, or else they would not be miracles, no?

As Muslims, we believe in the ultimate miracle: the Qur'an, and the Qur'an informs us of many great events in the past which we find easy to believe once we recognise the truth in the Qur'an. We believe in the sea splitting for Prophet Musa, Prophet Isa bringing the dead back to life and healing lepers and blind men (by Allah's permission), Prophet Adam living in paradise at one time; do all these require scientific evidence before we believe in them? No! But if this person wants to see a miracle for our time now, then let him look at the miracle of the Qur'an itself. Let him learn about the history of how the Que'an was compiled and to whom it was revealed. And let him be aware of its scientific miracles where the Qur'an speaks of the creation of man, the water cycle and the function of mountains and other things; and there are many other miracles such as the language and perfect laws in the Qur'an.
