^^^ What does that have to do with person's question. I am thinking believer posted that in wrong thread?? I think person was trying to create a new thread. My advice is to seek marriage counseling that is serious issue.

Just like to add something that I like being reminded of. You should gain knowledge not for the sake of gaining knowledge. You should gain knowledge to acquire the fruits of knowledge, taqwa (translated as righteousness, God fearing, protecting yourself from the anger of Allah, God consciousness). As Allah swt says "Indeed those who have taqwa of Allah are the 'Ulima (knowledgeable people, scholars of Islam). Look at my signature I love that statement. You will be judged according to your knowledge on the day of judgment. Don't fear gaining knowledge just know it will benefit you in gaining the fruits of knowledge.

I am sorry for posting in the wrong thread... I guess my mind is not thinking clearly these days. Thank you so much for the concern... I really appreciate it a lot.

About the fruits of knowledge... I must admit, knowledge seems to be my strong weapon under these circumstances. But sometimes... when emotions steps in... dark thoughts play around my head.

The contemplation for divorce is pressing. But when I am refreshed by prayers... I seem to feel that this is just another test.

Sometimes - the Christian line of "Carry your own cross and follow me" thing steps in. Am I going to accept this suffering?... I am not a Christian... and the only problem I have is I live in a Christian world.

Brother, you have been given an immense test. I surmise that if you pass this you will no doubt get one of the highest places in heaven. Talk to your local Imam and if you can't do it like that, then say it is your friend who is having this problem.

It is already a good sign that your prayers are working and you have not acted rashly like she did. Keep it up and it can only get better and keep your daughter in mind.
