Indeed the most righteous of actions is giving charity and fasting.” [2] Jaabir ibn ‘Abdullaah (رضي الله عنهما) said: “If you fast, then your hearing and sight should also fast, your tongue [must also fast] from lying, [you must fast] from sins and abandon harming servants. You should be calm and dignified on the day that you fast. Do not make a day that you fast similar to a day that you don’t.” [3] Abu Dhar (رضي الله عنه) said: “If you fast, safeguard yourself as much as you possibly can.” [4] ----------------------- [1] Al Musanaf - Ibn Abee Shaybah: 2/224 [2] Al Musanaf - Ibn Abee Shaybah: 11/47 [3] Collected by Al Bukharee and Muslim [4] Al Musanaf - Ibn Abee Shaybah: 2/124 {...And indeed it is a Book of exalted power. I request all brothers and sisters to make du'aa for ME. That Allah grants me shifaa.
