    Report bad ads?

    Salam,

I'm not sure this is the right forum.

I'm wondering if someone can please explain to me najaza and how long it "lasts". For example - if urine is on ones clothing i know the clothes are impure. But if one sits on a couch with those clothes is the couch impure? And everyone who sits on the couch after this will become impure as well?

    Thanks in advanced

    wa Alaikum Assalam

If the najasah is dried up, it does not transfer to other objects unless there are visible traces of it being transferred. In the example that you have stated, the clothing will remain impure as long as they are not washed. But the couch will only become impure if you sit on it while the clothes were still wet with najasah. If your clothes were dry, then the couch remains pure.
