    my iman is dying

    Report bad ads?

i need help with increasing my iman-well more like how to be motivated to improve my iman? i need help in keeping a routine and timetable so that i can get accoplished what i want for eg, when i intend on sudying arabic on mondays, i study arabic on Mondays and not make silly old excuses

another thing: when you have learnt or memorized something (especially quran), how do you keep it in your mind. like how do you motivate (again its to do with motivation) yourself to revise. that part is the most difficult. the other most diffuct part is studying at the times that are the best to study...such as after fajr. i for one, can NOT keep awake after fajr. i need that sleep the most. b4 fajr/all night, i can easily stay awake but after fajr, it is seriously hard for me even on nights when i go to sleep at a reasonable time. how do i overcome this to? whats the other part of the day thats good for memorizing? also with memorizing, does it have to be on a daily basis? like can i memorise, say only twice a week? or do i have to be more consistent?

does anyone else have trouble with this? does anyone have trouble being motivated to study and revise? what do you do to overcome this?

    salaam alaikum,

most of us have time management problem. make a time table and try to follow it. it'll take few weeks or months to get adapt to it.

regarding memorisation, revision is very important. try to find out a time most suitable for you.

make dua too to Allah to help you.

    Re: my iman is dying

Our Iman fluctuates all the time and that is normal. There will be a point where we are so break down and can't do anything and feel like hopeless. The most important thing is,to quickly realise that we are giving in to syaitan and we should reshape our iman.

First step: Repent and ask Allah to help you and guide.
Second step: Time management.Mange your time well and nevre ever give excuse to these things-learning arabic and memorisng quran.Imagine these are the things you cannot ignore jsut like how you cannot ignore the salah.

I know it isn't easy especially if you took a small break,it is very difficult to get back to what you have been doing.

Everything is in your mind.It is just the matter you want to do it or not.

Trust me,no one is going to loose anything except you yourself.Do this for your own sake.

In the beginning it will be very difficult but after a few days or after a few try,you will be able to do it without any pressure.

Get to know some good Muslims who have the same desire as you.It works better when you have competitors

    Good luck

    Re: my iman is dying

OK, al hamdulillah, it doesn't sound like your imaan is dying That would be serious. It sounds like a case of poor organisation of when to do what. A really simple way (and I intend to do this too) is to write a list of what you have to do and what time and stick to it. Tick of the tasks you complete and as you see the ticks you will feel a sense of accomplishment. This will make you feel good and motivate you to do the next thing. And we all like to feel good. No one does anything to feel bad. Try it and see how it works inshaAllah.
