I know I should trust in Allah swt because he led me to the right path so he will bring me better friends but I am so, so lonely right now. Feel like I can't talk and enjoy with anyone. It's getting me so depressed and making me really struggle with keeping on the deen.

    welcome Sister.

All muslims here are your friends & family. these muslims ( provided we die with eeman inshallah ) will also be your friends in the hereafter (akirah) for eternity for tttttrillions of years inshallah.

this is what happened to the top Jewish rabbi Abdullah ibn salam who was the most respected loved by the jews . all left him and Prophet consoled him with near similar words ie we are your friends and family for ever inshallah .

I was in the same boat sister. All my friends smoked, drank partied, and the simple fact is, even if they accept you and everything, it will be hard to mix with them and practice Islam. I gave them up, stopped hanging out. Because being in that environemtn is not good for my imaan. I also didn't have many Muslim friends to hang out with either. Just make dua and dua to Allah to give you good Islamic company, and just keep searching for msoques for females in your area..... but in the meantime use your free time to learn and learn and learn about the deen. Memorize Surahs, work on your Arabic, study the life of the prophet, history of Islam, hadith, how Muslims should live, etc.....

Jazak'Allah for all your beautiful and inspiring responses, this forum truly is a familySo alone... thought I'd update you all on the situation:

First I decided to tell my workplace about my intention to wear hijab. This was difficult because a) in the only POC in the store and b) the first person since I've been working there to be practicing religion properly! So I was very nervous but my manager was so happy for me... and later called me to tell me that she converted from Catholicism to Islam two years ago but has never had the confidence to tell anyone! And that my decision made her want to be more open about her religion too mashallah. :')

This got me confident, so I told my friends about how I was feeling and alhamdulillah they were so supportive! A couple of them are a little bit weird with me now but everyone else is so happy for me..

Truly all you have to do is turn to Allah swt. The most beneficent, the most merciful. So alone... I'm so happy alhamdulillah.

Jazakallahu khairan sister. Your comment made the already satisfying Sunday even more satisfying knowing you alhamdulillah have found support in your neighboring area . Take it easy and you know where to find us. (Around the corner at starbucks with the big "www.islamicboard.com" sign)
