Is my fast invalid/ can i follow another opinion?

    Salam.
So im making up one of my days from last ramadan when i had my period today.

In the morning i had some "innapropriate" thoughts, which i stupidly decided to indulge aka gave my mind "free rein" :/

I checked my underwear and there was some discharge, i assumed it to be madhi.

Now , i normally follow the maliki madhab, and it said on seekershub if you intentionally indulge thoughts etc and madhi occurs, your fast is invalid.

Im fine with repeating my fast, but i have to do kafarra as well! Im a teen in high school.
I cant free a slave, or fast for 60 consecutive days etc. I have school and I dont want my parents to find out how i broke my fast, its embarassing, and my parents will get angry at me( im pretty sure they will anyway). If i fast 60 days il be asked why im fasting, and i cant lie.

The hanafi madhab says madhi doesnt invalidate the fast. But what about in my case? Since i kinda indulged the thoughts? If so, do i have to repeat the fast? Or do kafarra?
If theres any hanafis here, can you guys tell me pls?
Also, is it permissible for me to follow the hanafi opinion on this? I wont do it again for sure, its just i really dont want my parents to find out, and kafara is really too much for me.
I feel horrible ya Allah. I wont be doing it again for sure. If i cant follow the hanafi opinion, can anyone give me advice on how to tell my parents at least?

    wa'alaikum as'salam,

According to shaykh Ibn Baaz: Emission of madhiy does not invalidate the fast according to the more correct of the two scholarly opinions.

Re: Is my fast invalid/ can i follow another opinion?

Doesn't matter what madhab you follow, all the madhabs are from ahle sunnah wal jammah aka sunni sect and from the given two opinions, per the shaykh above the majority are of the view that it does not invalidate the fast. We don't follow madhabs blindly, we follow the most correct view according to the Quran and Sunnah. My advice would be to stick to the jammah (majority) on this and not to make it harder on yourself.

As for continuing to indulge in those thoughts, Allah says,
And if there comes to you from Satan an evil suggestion, then seek refuge in Allah . Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing. [41:36]

So whenever you find an evil thought coming to you, or are tempted to perform an evil action, recite the Qur’anic phrase: أعوذ بالله من شيطان الرجيم ‘I seek refuge with Allah from the Cursed Satan’.
