    Divorce

    Report bad ads?

I read on Yaqeen Institute that when a couple divorce, the husband has to pay for the expenses of his children regardless of who gets custody. Does this mean the mother does not have to pay for the children at all?

    Re: Divorce

100% correct. While this is not Islamic but in today's society she also have the right to poison the child against the father and cut ties between father and child. This is how society accept this now. Which fits very well the ahadeeth of the minor signs of qiyamah where children is close to their friends and distance from their fathers and another sign of qiyama cutting ties between family is rampant and that is usually child and father more than relatives cutting tie. I would say the rampant of father/child cutting tie easily hold 70% and more of the statistic where cutting ties in family vs two brother or sisters or uncle or aunt cutting ties. Although that is happening in my family here where we have ties cut between us and auncle and aunt.

If this question is about you, then yes you do have to pay child support and she does not pay a dime or should not pay a dime and it is obligatory on you to pay child support. It does not matter if she takes those child or children and leave the country and cut ties between you and them, you still have to pay child support. Just pretend you are paying bills and simply move on at that point if that happens to you. My recommendation is to adopt a child! Because with adopted child you as the man have 100% right on the child and no woman can take it from you, but your own child? That belongs to her, it is her property and she can do with them what she wants.

Haha I'm actually the child in this situation. And believe me the situation isn't pretty. What I meant was if it's impermissible for the mother to pay for the child I.e buy the child food or give it pocket money or something.

So is there no maintenance the mother has to pay? What if the mother earns more than the father.

It does not matter how much money she have. She could be the richest women on Earth and you are making 30,000 a year...she have full right to let the children starve to death right in front of her by not paying them a dime and it is obligatory on you as the father to pay for the children even if you make 30k or less a year. Now if you are dead for some apparent reason, cancer, hit by car or sudden death syndrome ...simply put...you died. Then the next relative male it is obligatory on him to pay for the children it could be your brothers, uncle, etc. Now naturally the mother will not let her children starve to death when she is sitting on billions of dollars however....it is obligatory on you to pay and not her.

She can do with whatever she wants with the money. If she is spending it on you, she will be rewarded for every dime she spend it on you and you have to be thankful she did and appreciate her for spending the money on you. Do you have any relationship with your dad or you mother made sure you and your dad is disconnected?

By the way, the father have the right to ask where that money is spend. So if he is spending it on you and he is obliged to spend it on the necessary things, like food, cloth and education. He is not obliged to buy you an iphone or an ipad or give you salary so you can buy video games or cloth or go shopping or spend it on friends. His duty is to spend it on the essential and if the essential is bare minimum then so be it. If you ask him and he is a military soldier giving you lips about responsibility and how the money is to be spend on essentials and not toy stuff it is his full right. By the way in Islam, I cannot remember...the age limit but I read somewhere and I need someone to confirm this to me that ones the boy reaches balagh..meaning he can have babies the father can stop spending on the boy but the girl he is obliged to spend on her even if she can have babies.
