How do I regain my trust in Allah?
I have truly lost all my faith in Allah and I'm convinced that Allah hates me and wants to punish me.

I know and understand that you guys will say that this way of thinking is wrong and haram, but I really cannot help but think like this.Nothing ever works out for me and I have always been a Muslim.Lately I begin to believe that maybe I'm was just fooling myself all this time thinking that I was a good Muslim, if so then why should I even bother trying to ask Allah for help.

I really hate myself and everything about my life and I'm having suicidal thought almost every day.Talking about my many problems is not something I'm comfortable with as I know that that no one will ever understand my pain from my perspective, but I keep asking myself - doesn't Allah understand, does he not know what I'm going though, why is he not helping me?

People around me keep saying that I must have good thought about Allah for things to change - but I just cannot, I don't even know how to do that when I'm in constant pain in my heart over failures and disappointments that I just cannot forget.

Nothing is ever working out for me, WHY ??????

Allah has his wisdom, and for once I just want to know what that wisdom is, only so I can preserve a little longer. If my life goes on like this, I fear that weakness will truly overtake me and I will end up ending it all with my own hand.

Why is Allah not helping me just a little bit so I can have some hope in this miserable life?

So if the solution to my problem is to regain my trust in Allah, then how the heck do I do that, I really have no clue and convinced that Allah does not want me.

Re: How to regain trust in Allah?

    Assalamu Alaikum

Well what is the source of your issues? Sometimes it's easier to put the blame on everything else, but really we just need to take the experiences that we've learned and move on instead of allowing our lives to dwell about past failures. Every good and bad moment has an ending. These are just the realities in life that we just need to accept no matter where our level of faith is at.

You want to regain your trust in Allah, but have you ever really had strongly to begin with? Because it is at your lowest point that you need to find that strength and reliance, if at all it was there to begin with. If not, then I ask what were you doing when things were going good?

Things have never been good for me!!!
When I was younger I used to have this unbroken belief that things would get better, as I grow older that belief was shattered as I realized that I was just an idiot for for believing that things would get better.
I was such an idiot. I wish Allah would just ignite my faith one more time, but nothing good ever happens.

Re: How to regain trust in Allah?

    Asalamualykum,

Whatever difficulty or pain you have gone through see it as a test from Allah swt. Without pain we will never develop spiritually. We need to reflect and be conscious of our thoughts and actions. Always reflect and ponder. Alhamdulilah you have made a big step by reaching out for help. I know this is not easy. Allah swt has blessed us with Islam the perfect religion and every problem we have can be cured by Islam.

You need to make the first step and help yourself. Start loving yourself. Get out of the house and go for a walk. This may be very hard to do at first but get someone to pester you until you get up and do it. STOP thinking and over thinking about your sadness. This will just escalate until life becomes unbearable. Enroll on an islamic course and understand the deen. We all have a lot of learning to do. Ask your friends and family members to look out for you and notice your own trigger points and put in a remedy plan to remove the negative thoughts.

Allah swt is waiting for you. HE swt is the most merciful and loves us more than our own mothers. This is not difficult to comprehend and appreciate when breathing is so easy for the vast majority, eating is so easy, moving our body, every limb is so easy, hearing is easy etc.

Depression is a real thing. It could be that you are depressed and seeing everything through a blue lens. I sense that you have anxiety too over something. Try meditation with simple non religious guided meditation scripts that don't mention haram. it really opens up your head and clears your mind. Then you will get yourself out of the bad thinking problem you have and can focus on moving forward.
Its hard to beat depression but don't feel ashamed to tell your doctor or a therapist....you can beat it in many ways and you just have to find a way that works for you.
Try studying Islamic sahabah stories of trial and tests. They are really inspiring and their stories will help you see the right prespective to have
    best wishes

Re: How to regain trust in Allah?

    asalamulaikum

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “Allah the Most High said, ‘I am as My servant thinks (expects) I am. I am with him when he mentions Me. If he mentions Me to himself, I mention him to Myself; and if he mentions Me in an assembly, I mention him in an assembly greater than it. If he draws near to Me a hand’s length, I draw near to him an arm’s length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed.’” (Bukhari)

Imam Nawawi (may Allah have Mercy upon him) said: “The scholars say that expecting the best of Allah is to expect that He will have Mercy on him and relieve him of hardship.” [Sharh Sahih Muslim]

Imam Nawawi (may Allah have Mercy upon him) also said: “al-Qadi ‘Iyad said that this means He will forgive him if he seeks such, will accept his repentance if he repents, will answer him if he supplicates, and will suffice him if he asks for something. It is also said that it refers to having hope and longing for relief, and this is more correct.” [Sharh Sahih Muslim]

Some of the Salaf (may Allah have mercy upon him) said: “Whenever a crisis comes your way, utilize your good expectations of Allah in order to repel it. This will bring you closer to relief.” [al-Faraj Ba’d ash-Shiddah]

"Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves." (ar-Rad: 11)

I'm convinced that Allah hates me and wants to punish me.
Lately I begin to believe that maybe I'm was just fooling myself all this time thinking that I was a good Muslim
akhi, you have to fight off these thoughts. wallahi, these thoughts are from shaitan.

"Man is not weary of supplication for good [things], but if evil touches him, he is hopeless and despairing." (Fussilat: 49)

Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful." (az-Zumar: 53)
This verse was specifically revealed regarding those Muslims who left Islam completely. Allah called them back to His mercy.

if so then why should I even bother trying to ask Allah for help.

bro, no one needs help more than sinners like us. it is the sinners and the destitute who are most in need of Allah's help, forgiveness, and mercy.

“Whoever does not ask Allah, The Exalted, He gets angry with him.” [At-Tirmithi]

Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The du’aa’ of any one of you will be answered so long as he is not impatient and says, ‘I made du’aa’ but it was not answered.’” Narrated by al-Bukhaari and Muslim.

akhi, you have to be patient.

Nothing is ever working out for me, WHY ??????
Success is dependent upon our obedience to Allah and failure is from our disobedience. In this case despair of Allah's mercy and relief constitutes in of itself a major sin which is a clear obstacle and roadblock to your success as a Muslim.

The ball really is in our court brother. The way that it works is that the more hope you direct towards Allah, the more He will help you. If you start putting your hope in him and warding off the doubts and negativity from ash-shaitan, then (and only then) will Allah start to help you. When He starts to help you, then this increases your hope and trust in him which then leads to Him helping you more and the positive build-up of Iman can continue but you have to get the ball rolling bro. You do not need to worry about your sins because Allah's Mercy is more vast and more powerful. He helps save even the pagan Mushrikeen from destruction when they are out to sea because they call upon Him and Him alone. Certainly, you have more of a right to hope for His aid.

Why is Allah not helping me just a little bit so I can have some hope in this miserable life?
    Hope first, then the Help.

Ward off this negativity, make constant Dua' to Allah, be Patient, seek refuge in Allah from ash-shaitan, seek refuge from hopelessness and despair, think good thoughts of Him with conviction, He will truly be what you think of Him. Try to work on your other sins and try to obey Allah more.

If you do these things, you will be okay inshaAllah. I promise. Nevermind that. Allah promises, and Allah never fails in His promise.
