I am dedicating time to trying help others in the mosque and even studying for my exam. Im trying my best to be good influence on others...however my family are displeased that i spend too much time outside of the house. Its frustrating because i want to help others but my family emotionally and religously blackmail me saying Allah is not pleased with me and im not a good son because i do not spend time with them. However when im at home, they do not care that im in the house in my room doing nothing...they just want me near them while they are watching dramas. I want help others with the time or study in the libray but then it frustrates me. then sometimes the people in the mosque talk to me with attitude and speak to me only when they need something, otherwise im as good as a stranger to them. On top of that my father got angry that he had to pay for my college fees because i was not able to get scholarship because i had so many things on my plate and missed the deadline. My father has always been stingy with is money and never buys me anything if it is something i need. I also have to deal with the fact that all my good deeds are useless, someone told me because i narratied them to others because people keep thinking im bad muslim. Im trying to please Allah but all those deeds are useless now. I wanted to repent but they said those deeds are still lost...everyone is disappointed with me and i feel worthless. On top of that when i am hanging out with friends, i keep joking and saying just kidding but hadith said jokes are impressible and the joke with falsehood will take the person deeper to hell the more laughs he got...I do not feel good right now.

Why are you placing your worth, your honour and more importantly your emaan in people's hands?
If you catch a star and bring it to the people they won't be impressed. Someone else will outshine you and bring 2 stars. What i am trying to say is it doesn't matter what you do or what you sacrifice people won't value or appreciate you. Only Allah swt will.
Your priority and obligation lies at home first. You must help your parents even if they are living a life of sin. You must persist and help your family in all matters. As much as you can. After you do this and if you have spare time then you can help your community insha Allah.
If you need money and study and time allows you find a job. That way you don't need to rely on your dad.
Pain and hardships allow you to grow spiritually Alhamdulilah so smile when a so called calamity befalls upon you.
Alhamdulilah Allah swt is the greatest.

After school find some part time job..ask ur parents wether u can try for a part time job after school.there are students who distribute newspapers early morning to earn money..this may help your parents happy.but if they say no leave it.don't go against them
.beside I think you are not much close to your parents.change your nature.chat with them talk of ur class.keep them company.any interesting happening share with your parents .youwill notice the change...
Parents are always worried of their children.that doesn't mean they neglect.it indicates they love you..

jokes are permissible. there is restriction on it though, Prophet peace be upon him did tell some jokes before. However he was moderate. He also told us to tell truth when it comes to joke.
My dear brother, you don't have to help too much, that's just extreme. Be moderate. Also help your family no matter what, because Allah ordered us to be good to our parents.
It seems you have issues with your mental health, you should do more dikhr, thinking of Allah positively, and His blessings, He bestowed on you over some people, this will make you feel comfortable, If He gave you foods when you were hungry, say thanks to Him, if He gave you water when you were thirsty, say thanks to Him, if He gave you clothing when you were naked, say thanks to Him, that's true mercy of Allah, there are many africian Muslims, who probably don't have these blessing but they still thank Allah . You can also visit doctor. Don't think of your deeds as useless. that's not good. Just put strong faith and trust in Allah alone. don't think of people. These days, human beings have became careless of each other. even among the Muslims. Allah cares about you lot. Just keep your intention toward Him. Do good deeds only for His sake. Don't think of your deeds as useless, you're going to let shaytan hurt you with his whispering. Just ignore it. Be moderate in your habit. Going extreme won't help. Islam is simple and forgiving religion. Good deeds gets mulitpied in sha Allah, if good intention on that act is fulfiled. Renew your intentions on every permissible acts you do, like that you want to sleep to get more energy for ibadat act, that sleep turns into act of worship.
