But why I don't get what I want?!

In this world, we are blessed with different blessings, as test from Allah. Every one of us is different. Among the mankind, there are rightly guided people, they are Muslims, and there are misguided people, they are Kafirs.

Our tests are according to our faith, if a Muslim is pious and have high faith, he will be tested severely. The most tested people were Prophet peace be upon them.

It is part of human nature, that we often wish we could have something that we dream of, such as luxurious houses, supercars, beautiful women.

One of our tests is that we should give thanks to Allah for whatever He bestowed on us.

But then, among us, is that we end up being frustrated saying "But why I don't get what I want?!" when we did not get what we wanted.

These are dangerous behaviour. Since our mind is limited, we can never understand the harmful effects behind these things.

Some of us may not have a beautiful spouse, some may not have a big luxurious mansion or a Lamborghini.

When one who was married, looks at married people who are beautiful couple, he ends up saying "I wish that my spouse was like them..." But what he did not realize, is that the couples may not have a really happy marriage. They are only beautiful in their outer look, but ugliest in their character.

While the man's wife may not be good looking in her outer appeareance, but in reality, she is most beauitful in her inner appearance, being caring and loving for her husband,

When one who already have a car in poor condition, looks at a Lamborghini, he ends up saying "I want this car..." But what he did not realize is that the owner who has this car, already forgot Allah, and never worshipped Him, not even giving a single charity to the orphan. He does not have happy life, being alcoholic and depressed, because he has forgotten Allah!

When one who lives in small ancient house, comes across a big luxurious mansion that has a swimming pool, he feels despaired about his life, "Why did Allah never give me such house?" He did not realize that the owner of that mansion lives with haram income. He eats riba, and he is cruel with poor people, he only chased this world instead of Hereafter. while the man, have halal income full of blessings.

    My brothers.

Do not feel negative and despaired when you come across people who are higher than you in worldly things. Remember that we will die. The Angel of Death will visit us, and he does not care who is poor or rich. His job is to take souls as ordered by Allah!

    Allah says in Quran:
    يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُلُوا۟ مِن طَيِّبَـٰتِ مَا رَزَقْنَـٰكُمْ وَٱشْكُرُوا۟ لِلَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ

O you who have attained faith, eat of the good things We have provided you and give thanks to Allah1if it is He that you worship. (Surah Baqarah:172)

But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah knows, while you know not.

And follow the Prophet peace be upon him's advice..

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:

"Look to one who is lower than you, and do not look to one who is above you. For indeed that is more worthy(so that you will) not belittle Allah's favors upon you."

    Tirmidhi 2513

So always be thankful to Allah, no matter what you have right now..

    Asalamualykum

We don't know what is good for us nor do we know what is bad for us. Only Allah swt knows.

Any calamity that brings you closer to Allah swt is good for us and what appears to be good in this dunya but takes us away from Allah swt is clearly a punishment!

“And we will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient"
