Do not use science to defend islam.

Over the time. The atheists and agnostic have been lured by shaitan. They have been trying to spread their falsehood by spreading hatred to islam, because they cannot bear that it is the Truth. As islam is only ultimate truth and the only successful path to Jannah.

Falsehood, no matter how they try hard will never able to win. Islam will alway dominate the world, in sha Allah.

    Al-Isra' 17:81

    وَقُلْ جَآءَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ ٱلْبَٰطِلُۚ إِنَّ ٱلْبَٰطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًا

And say, "Truth has come, and falsehood has departed. Indeed is falsehood, [by nature], ever bound to depart."

When it comes to science. We should be aware that it is only temporary understanding. It cannot be the truth. Because science many times have changed alot. Many theories espeically that were famous, ended up being failed. Darwin theory is nothing but false theory.

We muslims believe that mankind is children of Adam peace be upon him, who was created from dust by Allah.

Islam is unchanged since 1400 years.

The beauitful part about islam is that we do not need to use our logic, as to understand it. Instead we shall submit to Allah. And we believe whatever He and His messenger have said is truth.

The atheists will never able to win. Their belief are only falsehood.

    An-Nahl 16:105

They only invent falsehood who do not believe in the verses of Allah, and it is those who are the liars.

Many of them have tried to challenge islam, and then ended up being Muslims.

The atheists claim that the universe came by accident and that no one created it. Yet they say that machines are made by human beings and controlled by them.

    This is stupid logic.

The small story of imam Abu hanifa and an atheist is good example.

Ibn Abi al-‘Izz reported: It is said that Abu Hanifa, may Allah have mercy on him, was approached by some philosphers who intended to discuss with him the oneness of Allah’s Lordship. Abu Hanifa said, “Before we discuss this question, tell me what you think about a boat in the Euphrates, which goes to shore, loads itself with food and other things, then returns, anchors and unloads all by itself, without anyone sailing or controlling it?” They said, “This is impossible.” Abu Hanifa said, “If it is impossible with a boat, then how is it possible for the world, in all its vastness, to move by itself?”

    Excellent Thread and Post, Brother!!

Yes, it's amazing how some scientists are Atheists, and even more amazing that they believe that science can explain everything: including the creation of the Universe!! Absolute stupidity!! Years ago, I was studying to be a research scientist, long before I Reverted to Islam; and needless to say, I'm not involved in science in any way at all, now!! Alhamdulillah!!

I strongly disagree with this...dear brother.
I've been saying this over and over again...and I will repeat it...but Islaam and science are extentions of each other. you should use logic and science to explain and defend Islam and vice versa, you should steer scientific research by the evidences in the Quraan.

Yes it is true that science is not the absolute truth and technically EVERY theory is FALSE...The reason for this is that science is just an approximation of the absolute truth.
As we know more and more about everything, this approximation gets more accurate, but still it will always be just an approximation.
That however does not mean it is not useful.

Allah created everything...he created the Earth, life on Earth, laws of nature like gravity, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, laws of motion, etc.
Allah gave us logic and reason to search, investigate and learn.
How can Allah give us a religion which contradicts that what He created? That is not possible.

Yes, Science can be wrong on a certain subject, theories can be failed, formulas can be inaccurate...but as soon as our knowledge expands, these theories and formulas make place for better and more accurate ones...

Remember the Newtonian laws were always very useful and accurate...(we still use them today because of the simplicity) until we bumped into Quantum mechanics.
Suddenly masses became very very small, and speeds increased, and therefore the Newtonian laws were not useful anymore.

a beautiful example of steering science with religion is the big bang theory.
It was developed by Georges Lemaître, a Belgian physicist and Roman Catholic priest. It may not be exactly the truth or just partially correct...however, it is useful to explain may things.
Of course one should keep in mind that nothing happens on its own...so Allah is always behind the scenes.

Science can never be uses to prove or disprove the existence of Allah...the ones trying that have failes right from the beginning.
Science can only explain that based on the movement of the galaxies, they might originate from a certain point...possible from a huge explosion.
This explosion itself is unexplainable, and therefore "accident"

I do not know how accurate the translation of the hadeeth mentioneds above is, but not all philosphers are atheists. I do not know what basic message this hadeeth contains, but it is certainly not an evidence that we should not use our logic to explain Islaam?

When you have a certain situation you want to solve...would you not look for verses and hadeeth that describe a similar situation and how it is solved back then...
How can you pick the right verse or hadeeth that describes your situation the best without using logic...how can you decide "NOOO, that hadeeth does not aply on this situation, because....*reasons*" without using your logic?

    Does that sound logical?
