    No it's not, it's obligatory to follow the Qur'an and Sunnah. Whatever a scholar says from the Qur'an and Sunnah is obligatory to follow, whether it's in a madhab or not.

    As far as I know it's not Fardh to follow a maddhab. If a person is following one and it becomes clear to him that the Sunnah of the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wasallam) is something other than what he has learned from his madhhab, then what he is required to do is to follow the Sunnah.     No, but when it comes to Islamic matters that have several Islamic view points, I usually go with the madhab that makes the most sense to me.
