    The DIY topic (OP)

As-salamu Alaikum my brothers and sisters.

I commented on another topic about some financial related topic and it gave me a idea to open a topic where we could exchange knowledge to save money in our day to day life or create wonderful stuff. So if you have some ideas that you made something at home that somebody might benefit from, post it here with step by step instructions if possible. Also if you have pictures of it, post them.

Let me start with the first one.

    Plastic Flowerpot:

Here in the "cracks of society"(my location), there are those little buckets that contain Turkish or Greek yogurt. When the bucket is empty, you can drills holes on the bottom for drainage. And thus make a flowerput of a plastic bucket. No money spend on a flowerpot.

    UPDATE Terracotta BBQ,

I tried to BBQ with my own made Terracotta BBQ, sadly it cracked. I guess the Terracotta BBQ was of bad quality as not only the BBQ it self cracked, but also the plate i put underneath it.

So what is my new plan/improvisation?

These pans can take a lot. Just buy a cheap one at second hand store and drills some holes on the side for air to get to the coals. Put the grill on top of it..and tada..done. Also better put some brick beneath it to be sure that the heath stays with that brick.

I was at a second-hand store to look at those pans if they had any. However one of the sellers gave good arguments to instead buy a used-portable-BBQ instead. I thought about the argument and he had good points. As the pan it self was 10 euros and the used-portable-BBQ 1 euro. I later on looked online how much such a portable BBQ costs and it was around 80 euro's a few years back. So bought the thing, went home cleaned it very good from all greases (pork and other non-halal food) and have used it already for like 2 times. The grill where the coals come on top of it, are a bit bend because of regular use through out the years, but i saw online you could buy a new grill. So all in all, found the solution..very cheap way..second-hand store ...1 euro ..WIN :P...ALHAMDULILLAH!!

This one but in orange color. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bodum-Fyrka.../dp/B00BPTLDGK
